The Marching band meets first semester, and is composed of all 10-12 grade band members in addition to freshman members of the color guard. The ensemble performs an average of 20-25 times in the fall semester. The marching band performs at all varsity football games (unless otherwise announced), five to six contests on Saturdays from the last two weekends of September to the first weekend of November, and several parades, including the Old Soldier's Reunion parade in August and several holiday parades at the end of the semester. The band begins rehearsal with Summer Band Camp, usually held the first week of August (depending on the starting date for classes). Once the school year starts, the band rehearses in class each day, and has one three hour after school rehearsal each week, usually from 3-6 p.m. on Monday or Tuesday afternoons. In addition to this rehearsal, the band members attend one sectional for each week.

This ensemble is easily the most high profile, active ensemble in our band program. The group performs and competes in front of more people in more locations than all our other ensembles combined, and is the most visible public image that our program has.
